Crewing Officer (OMC)

The Crewing Officer, OMC is responsible for supporting the OCC Duty Manager and schedule integrity by ensuring all flights are optimally crewed for the daily operation

And will liaise with the OMC Duty Manager to work through resource gaps.

The schedule integrity incorporates the coordination of contingency planning for Crew during disrupt.

The Crewing Officer, OMC will act as a key liaison to the broader OMC and external contractors.

The role also plays a key part in contributing to the overall ‘Customer Experience’.

Job Description

Coordination of the OMC Crewing.

•             Manage the day to day requirements of the Crewing desk to meet the daily flying program.

•             Ensure all sick leave has been covered and relevant department advised.

•             Maintain continual and clear communications with the broader OMC

•             Ensure clear-communication channels with all external contractors;

•             Provide reporting and other relevant data to various internal departments.

•             Provide communication to Flight Watch, Duty Managers & Customer Care regarding any operational changes.

•             Maintain daily operations log. ¢ Ensure all crew are legal as per VAR15

•             Check for uncrewed duties, and action accordingly. * Ensure all crew have been notified of duty changes.

•             Any changes made to positioning and hotel requirements, that all changes are made in timely manner as not incur costs.

•             Utilise the crew to the maximum and to reduce costs to the company. ¢ Advise crew planning of any training disruption. Communication

•             Liaison with the external contractors, Ops Controllers, Duty Managers & Customer Care,and other internal units regarding operational matters.

•             Ensure the Duty Manager and OMC Manager is updated on abnormal operational situations.

Disruption Management

·         Under direction from the Duty Manager, assist with the recovery plan for significant disruptions and returning the network to its scheduled timings as soon as practical.

·         Ensure all implemented plans best meet Safety/Company and Operational compliance requirements with minimal on-flow affects to customers.


•             Compliance across all company policies and procedures;

•             Translate knowledge of CAAV VAR15 Flight/Duty Hour limitations, and respective work rules to effectively manage the daily Crew requirements.

Emergency Assessment and Response

•             Assist as directed by the I Duty Manager or OMC Manager with the Emergency Response

Plan in an abnormal situation.


•             Assist with the production of sickness & standby reporting.

•             Compile Violation and Discretion report for the DFO.

•             Reports that may be requested by other internal departments as required. Project Management

•             Undertake departmental project work as directed;

•             In conjunction with the OMC Duty Manager, continually assess OMC Policies and Procedures for areas of improvement.

Job Requirement

English proficiency level - minimum IELTS 6.5

Age: From 25 ~ 40

At least 01 year equivalent working experience
