Job Description

Deputy Safety Managers who act as a professional and managerial supporting personnel for the Safety Manager in all areas.

Job Requirement


-          Report directly to Safety Manager of the responsibilities and duties assigned;

-          Maintain and continually improve the Company’s Safety Management System, including its associated documentation system, to ensure that it meets all regulatory and internal requirements and expectations in the area assigned;

-          Oversee and continually improve the systems, programs and/or duties assigned such as: Flight Data Monitoring system, Safety Reporting system, LOSA, MEDA, HIRA implementation, Safety documentations and others.

-          Implement and analyse hazard identification and risk management from Flight Data Monitoring, Line Operations Safety Audits (LOSA), Safety Reports data and other sources;

-          Initiate and complete accident / incident investigations, establish causes and formulate corrective / preventative safety measures. Issue required reports to CAAV and other relevant Aviation Authorities and relevant company management;

-          Monitor corrective safety actions to ensure accomplishment and effectiveness;

-          Monitor activity in flight operations, maintenance, crew training and ground operations, to ensure that the safety standard required by the authority, and any additional requirement defined by the operator, are being provided under the supervision of the relevant Postholder;

-          Provide advice and assistance to managers at all levels regarding safety issues in the area assigned;

-          Regularly update the Safety Manager of current safety concerns and issues in the area assigned;

-          Cooperate to organize staff safety training and competence enhancements;

-          Conduct Safety and Quality audit as annual plan approved by the Director of SQA.

-          Monitor safety performance indicators and communicate results to the Safety Manager;

-          Communicate and interact with external safety organizations, aircraft manufacturers and regulatory authorities on matters of industry safety concerns when authorized by the Safety Manager.

-          To be authorized by Safety Manager to handle his/her activities and role when he/she is unable to perform work duties.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

-          Bachelor degree.

-          Tertiary qualifications, with minimum of 5 years relevant work experience;

-          Relevant certifications in safety management systems and/or quality and security management systems, human factors;

-          Aviation Safety investigation qualification; and

-          Strong interpersonal, communications, presentation and writing skills.

-          Excellent in English, both verbal and writing. At least TOEIC 600.
